Pharma LATAM Communications Lead

About the role

The Senior Pharma International Communications Lead for LATAM will act as a strategic partner to the Pharma Area Head and regional leadership, shaping public‑health conversations, patient access and market‑shaping initiatives across Latin America. The role bridges the LATAM network with the global Pharma International team to drive cross‑market synergies and advance Roche’s reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as an upstream strategic advisor to the LATAM Area Head, General Managers and leadership teams, co‑designing commercial and health‑system‑shaping strategies.
• Lead multi‑stakeholder engagement and policy activation to advance public‑health dialogues and sustainable commercial access.
• Transform regional ecosystem data into actionable, outcome‑based communication plans aligned with commercial and external affairs objectives.
• Champion OneRoche initiatives where they create clear strategic advantage, aligning policy, market shaping and communications.
• Build a networked communications operating model, coaching regional teams and fostering internal capability and synergy.
• Integrate omnichannel, digital governance and AI tools to increase efficiency and focus on high‑value strategic work.

Required profile

• Senior professional with extensive experience in pharmaceutical communications and public‑health policy within LATAM markets.
• Proven ability to act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership and influence commercial strategy.
• Strong analytical mindset, capable of converting complex ecosystem data into clear insights and actionable plans.
• Demonstrated leadership in building and mentoring communication teams across multiple countries.
• Fluency in English and Spanish (or Portuguese) with deep understanding of LATAM cultural and regulatory environments.
