Operations Project Manager, Strategy & Ops, SMM

About the role

Novartis is hiring an Operations Project Manager, Strategy & Ops, SMM, based in Ramallo, Argentina. The role helps shape strategic workforce and resource planning across the Americas, combining analytical thinking, digital innovation and cross-functional collaboration to strengthen forecasting, optimize resources and turn complex information into actionable insights. Relocation support is not offered.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic workforce planning and resource optimization, aligning capacity with portfolio priorities across Americas SMM
• Drive capacity forecasting, scenario planning, budget management and internal and external resource utilization
• Apply data analytics and predictive modeling to strengthen forecasting and identify operational risks and opportunities
• Develop dashboards and decision-support tools that turn complex data into leadership insights
• Advance automation and digital innovation to simplify processes and reduce manual reporting
• Partner across functions to enable agile resource deployment, financial stewardship and execution of strategic priorities
• Establish performance measures and data governance frameworks

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, operations, analytics, life sciences or a related field
• Demonstrated experience in strategic workforce planning, resource management, capacity forecasting and operational planning
• Strong analytical skills and experience turning complex data into clear recommendations for leadership
• Experience managing budgets, performance measures, resource allocation and data-driven decisions
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, influencing stakeholders across complex, cross-functional organizations
• Desirable: experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences operations, and advanced workforce analytics experience

Required skills

• Data visualization, analytical or modeling tools such as Power BI, Excel or Python
• Desirable: budget management, clinical trials, negotiation, process improvements, project planning, vendor management and waterfall model
