Mobile Engineer (React Native)

About the role

PadSplit is seeking a Mobile Engineer specialized in React Native to shape and expand the mobile experience for thousands of members and hosts. You will work on both iOS and Android applications while also supporting web‑frontend initiatives when priorities shift.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve React Native applications for iOS and Android.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to ship new features quickly.
• Enhance React.js components when additional frontend support is needed.
• Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and optimize app performance.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
• Build and maintain automated tests to increase confidence and reduce regressions.
• Contribute to sprint planning, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Passionate about building products used daily and comfortable in a fast‑moving startup environment.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Effective collaborator across disciplines, capable of owning features from start to finish.

Required skills

• Significant experience building production‑grade React Native apps for iOS and Android.
• Strong proficiency with modern React.js development.
• Experience consuming REST APIs and working with backend teams.
• Working knowledge of Django/Python environments.
• Familiarity with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience implementing automated testing for React Native and React applications.
• Comfortable using Git workflows with pull requests and code reviews.
