Mid/Senior Node.js Engineer – Banking Sector

About the role

We are seeking a Mid/Senior Node.js Engineer to join Avenga’s team supporting a banking client in Argentina. You will work on building and maintaining backend services, leveraging modern cloud and serverless technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Node.js microservices and event‑driven components.
• Implement serverless functions and manage deployments on cloud platforms.
• Create and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring high performance and reliability.
• Work with NoSQL databases to store and retrieve data efficiently.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, and product owners in a Scrum environment.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of backend development experience with Node.js.
• Hands‑on experience with microservices and/or event‑driven architectures.
• Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms and using Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Strong ability to write clean, well‑documented code and work in agile teams.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
