Mid-level Accountant – Accounts Payable (US GAAP)

About the role

We are seeking a mid‑level Accountant to join our global shared‑service Accounts Payable team based in Argentina. You will be responsible for supporting payments, reporting and month‑end close while maintaining accurate US GAAP records.

Key responsibilities

• Verify expenditure support documents to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Execute and control bank payments to EPAM partners, including local and international transfers.
• Maintain US GAAP expense records and document related accounts payable and banking transactions.
• Perform monthly closing activities for assigned SAP accounts in line with company guidelines.
• Coordinate with local statutory accountants to resolve bookkeeping questions.
• Provide explanations and supporting documentation to senior accountants upon request.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries, participate in meetings and supply audit support documentation.
• Contribute to process‑improvement initiatives with the IT team, assess enhancements and test new solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 2 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance standards.
• Ability to work within established policies and procedures.
• Motivation for continuous learning and professional development.
• Collaborative mindset with experience in multicultural teams.
• English proficiency at B2+ level (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Advanced MS Excel for analysis and reporting.
• Experience using SAP in an accounting environment.
• Knowledge of US GAAP accounting standards.
• Accounts Payable processing.
