Marketing Director – Growth & Performance

About the role

Duckr is looking for a Marketing Director to own its growth engine – user acquisition, activation and revenue – following a seasonal hunting calendar. You will work in a small, cross‑functional pod with the product developer and content creator, initially on a three‑month contract that may become long‑term.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own north‑star metrics: in‑season MAU, off‑season retention, paid conversion and revenue against founder targets.
• Plan the year in two halves – aggressive acquisition sprints before and during season, and retention/content compounding in the off‑season.
• Run end‑to‑end paid acquisition campaigns on Meta, Google, TikTok and YouTube.
• Lead SEO and AI‑search visibility efforts, including regulation content, comparison pages and briefs for the content creator.
• Build and manage partnerships with outfitters, retailers, conservation organisations and hunting media.
• Report weekly on spend, CAC, sign‑ups, activation, retention and revenue.

Required profile

• 4+ years in growth or performance marketing with direct ownership of a growth or revenue number.
• Hands‑on experience managing paid social and Google Ads accounts.
• Proven SEO success in a competitive niche.
• Strong analytical mindset – cohort analysis, seasonality‑aware forecasting and unit economics.
• Fluency with AI tools for copy, creative testing and analysis.
• Excellent written and spoken English (C1+).
• Nice to have: experience marketing to US outdoor, hunting or fishing audiences; app install campaign and ASO experience.
