Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering

About the role

Salesforce is hiring a Portfolio Leader (Manager, Forward Deployed Engineering) in Buenos Aires to manage and grow a team of technical AI specialists deploying Agentforce solutions in complex customer environments. The role leads a blended delivery team of Forward Deployed Engineers and Deployment Strategists working on a single large enterprise account or several engagements at once, setting engineering standards and scaling the talent that ships production AI.

Key responsibilities

• Own capacity planning, talent acquisition and staffing for cross-functional squads
• Recruit, mentor and develop Technical and Strategic Builders, and coach teams on optimization
• Monitor delivery metrics, run complex customer escalations and act as the final technical escalation point
• Guide enterprise implementations, helping teams assess customer technical readiness and remove deployment barriers
• Build executive-level customer relationships and drive Agentforce adoption and production value
• Run the account portfolio with engineering rigor, partnering with Services, Account Success and Product teams

Required profile

• 4+ years of direct people management or high-impact technical leadership of engineering or technical teams
• Track record of hiring, mentoring and scaling technical talent
• Deep architectural understanding of AI, LLMs and the Salesforce ecosystem
• Experience with enterprise software implementation, data modeling, API integration and AI deployments
• Direct experience architecting or deploying Salesforce Data Cloud and the Agentforce platform
• Enterprise customer focus, with executive-level communication and influence

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with multi-agent systems, prompt engineering pipelines or deterministic AI guardrails (even better)
• Familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery and enterprise data pipelines (even better)
• Salesforce certifications such as Advanced Admin, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, Sales Cloud or Agentforce Specialist (even better)
