Logistics Support Specialist (Safety & Operations)

About the role

The Logistics Support Specialist works in Ecolab’s EVD Safety Support Center, providing real‑time safety and logistics control for chemical deliveries. You will handle inbound calls, review shipment data, and make safety‑based decisions to prevent delivery incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and manage over 50 inbound calls daily related to delivery verification and safety checks.
• Review shipment details, tank data, and system information to approve or stop deliveries based on safety and compliance criteria.
• Guide callers through troubleshooting steps and navigation of the EVD application.
• Accurately document all interactions, decisions, and outcomes in tracking systems.
• Create and manage IT incident tickets to escalate EVD system or application issues.
• Generate Delivery Action Requests (DARs) to capture tank setup issues, documentation gaps, or Bill of Lading discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Ecolab field teams and account representatives to resolve delivery or system issues.
• Respond to Chemtrec alerts related to in‑transit incidents, damaged packages, or chemical events and assist with escalations.
• Generate and maintain delivery compliance and safety data to support reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in logistics, operations, supply chain, customer service, or demonstrated ability in a similar environment.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to learn quickly.
• Tech‑savvy and comfortable using enterprise systems such as SAP and digital platforms.
• Willingness to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, or overnight shifts.
