Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – N2W Surgery

About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will join the N2W Surgery unit at Concordia Hospital, providing direct patient care under the supervision of the Manager of Health Services. This full‑time, in‑person position supports a 0.70 FTE schedule across days, nights, and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver professional practical nursing services to assigned patients, including independent nursing tasks.
• Administer prescribed medical treatments and medications safely.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold the region’s vision, values, and goals.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• Current registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM) and ability to provide proof of registration.
• Recent, related experience in a surgical or acute care setting is preferred.
• Certification in IV Therapy and IV Medication Administration.
• Current CPR certification as per employer policy.
