Lead Services Specialist – On‑Site Mechanical Maintenance

About the role

The Lead Services Specialist will head the mechanical maintenance function for a combined‑cycle power plant, overseeing both contractor staff and the customer workforce. The role ensures safe, reliable and efficient plant operations through hands‑on leadership, technical expertise, and strict adherence to EHS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all on‑site mechanical repair, inspection, machining, NDT and critical welding activities.
• Develop, supervise and coordinate plant maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective tasks.
• Plan, execute and inspect work orders through the CMMS (Maximo) and ensure timely completion.
• Assist the Maintenance Manager in outage planning, scheduling and material requisition.
• Control plant inventory, coordinate with stores and procurement, and generate spare‑parts requisitions.
• Ensure compliance with EHS policies, conduct inspections and support audits.
• Train and mentor engineers and technicians on maintenance procedures and EHS practices.
• Maintain maintenance documentation and generate reports as required.

Required profile

• Graduate Mechanical Engineer or related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3 years O&M experience in a combined‑cycle power plant.
• At least 5 years in a team‑lead position within plant maintenance.
• Minimum three years O&M experience with GE Vernova F‑Class gas turbines.
