Lead Data Engineer – Snowflake & AWS

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer to design and implement scalable Snowflake‑based ingestion and validation solutions for a leading enterprise client. The role combines deep technical expertise with client‑facing communication and proactive risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of Snowflake data ingestion architectures, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Own end‑to‑end ELT pipeline development that integrates multiple data sources.
• Define and enforce data quality frameworks, including validation rules, testing strategies and monitoring.
• Apply Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold) best practices across pipelines.
• Build and optimise data pipelines on AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda and EMR.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering with a senior or lead mindset.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Snowflake and large‑scale SQL processing.
• Proven experience building ELT pipelines and data ingestion solutions on AWS.
• Familiarity with Medallion Architecture and data governance concepts.
