Junior SEO Specialist – Remote

About the role

Freitag Marketing is seeking a Junior SEO Specialist to join its collaborative, fully remote team. You will work directly on client accounts, applying SEO best practices to drive measurable improvements in organic traffic and search rankings.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct keyword research and develop strategies to boost search visibility.
• Optimize on‑page elements such as meta tags, headers, and content structure.
• Collaborate with content creators to refine existing pieces and outline new SEO‑focused content.
• Track, analyze, and report on traffic, rankings, and conversions using Google Analytics, Search Console, and Ahrefs.
• Implement technical SEO enhancements, including page‑speed, mobile‑friendliness, and URL structure improvements.
• Support link‑building initiatives to increase domain authority.
• Stay current with algorithm updates and industry trends.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of SEO experience, preferably in an agency setting.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a remote environment.
• Familiarity with local SEO and AI‑driven workflow tools is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.
• Experience using Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
• Knowledge of CMS platforms such as WordPress and Shopify.
• Comfort with project‑management tools like ClickUp.
• Exposure to AI tools for SEO (e.g., Peec AI) is desirable.
