Junior Full Stack Engineer – AI Automation

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Full Stack Engineer to develop AI‑powered automation tools that generate and maintain tests for a public safety platform. The role primarily involves backend development in Java, with growing responsibilities on the frontend using TypeScript and React, and integrating AI coding assistants into developer workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Build automation tools that streamline test generation and maintenance, leveraging modern tooling and AI where appropriate.
• Contribute across the stack, focusing on Java backend development and expanding into TypeScript/React frontend work.
• Integrate AI coding assistants such as Claude Code and Codex into the development workflow.
• Enhance test reliability, coverage, and maintainability using Playwright.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to identify pain points and design scalable tooling solutions.
• Improve developer experience across the team.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong foundation in Java for backend development.
• Working knowledge of TypeScript, React, and HTML for full‑stack contributions.
• Experience with Playwright or a comparable end‑to‑end testing framework.
• Genuine interest in developer experience, automation, and tooling.
• Upper‑intermediate English proficiency and strong communication skills.
