JavaScript/TypeScript Engineer with Python

About the role

You will support the development, maintenance, and adoption of the self‑hosted n8n platform, building workflow automations, custom integrations, and nodes while troubleshooting production issues and improving platform reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain n8n workflows and automations.
• Build custom n8n nodes, integrations, and supporting services.
• Investigate and resolve workflow failures, platform issues, and integration problems.
• Collaborate with platform engineers and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Contribute to operational excellence through monitoring, debugging, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Support the adoption of n8n by onboarding new use cases and users.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing modern web applications with both frontend and backend technologies.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Working knowledge of Python.
• Solid understanding of software engineering, API design, and distributed systems.
• Background in backend and integration engineering, with some frontend experience.
• Ability to focus on operational excellence and continuous process improvement.
