Inventory Planning & Analytics Manager

About the role

We are a fast‑growing US pet products brand that operates an AI‑native back‑office. As the Inventory Planning & Analytics Manager you will own the end‑to‑end inventory planning function, ensuring data accuracy, forecasting demand, and guiding purchase and shipping decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the inventory ledger, record costs, keep COGS accurate, and execute the monthly inventory close.
• Run reconciliations between physical counts, system records, finance balances, and supplier invoices, investigating any gaps.
• Verify that every inventory movement (factory transfers, in‑transit shipments, receipts, kit assembly) is correctly reflected in the ledger.
• Maintain demand forecasts across D2C, wholesale, and retail channels, accounting for seasonality and component demand.
• Generate purchase order recommendations with clear reasoning on quantities, colors, and timing.
• Recommend shipping strategies (air vs. sea) based on stock‑out risk and landed cost.
• Flag at‑risk SKUs, oversell risk, and slow‑moving items before they become problems.
• Lead analytical projects such as channel profitability, pricing, wholesale performance, and marketing efficiency.
• Build dashboards, reports, and tools using Claude Code and present findings visually and in writing.

Required profile
