Interpreting Project Manager

About the role

The Interpreting Project Manager (IPM) owns the end‑to‑end delivery of client interpreting services, ensuring each assignment is staffed correctly, executed flawlessly, and meets quality and financial standards. The role blends client relationship management, scheduling, interpreter coordination, and project execution into a single accountable owner.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building trust‑based relationships and driving client retention.
• Receive, assess, and clarify incoming interpreting requests, defining requirements, timelines, and expectations.
• Identify and assign the best‑fit interpreter, coordinate schedules, and ensure interpreters are fully prepared.
• Own each assignment from start to finish, monitoring execution, resolving issues in real time, and aligning all stakeholders.
• Maintain financial accountability by executing assignments within target margins and following pricing guidelines.
• Ensure quality by collecting client feedback, addressing issues promptly, and continuously improving service delivery.
• Act as the central communication hub between clients, interpreters, and internal teams, providing timely updates and escalating issues when needed.
• Manage risks such as last‑minute cancellations, develop contingency plans, and handle urgent issues calmly.
• Maintain accurate records of assignments, client preferences, interpreter performance, and financial details in company systems.
