Information Security Analyst (PST timezone)

About the role

Deel is seeking an Information Security Analyst to lead and enhance its Security Operations. Working PST hours (9 AM‑5 PM), you will design, implement, and optimize tools and processes that protect Deel’s information assets and data.

Key responsibilities

• Own and lead the incident response process, investigate security events, and perform digital forensics when needed.
• Prioritize alerts, collaborate with stakeholders for remediation, and manage daily alert flow.
• Administer the SIEM platform: ingest data, manage logs, create and tune detection rules to reduce noise.
• Develop SOPs, incident response playbooks, and security dashboards; generate periodic SOC performance reports.
• Engineer detection rules for new Indicators of Compromise, conduct proactive threat hunting, and set guardrails to prevent threats.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity with a strong focus on security operations.
• Hands‑on experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, SWG, DLP, CSPM, ZTNA, MDM, IdP and related tools.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, CIS.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and communicate findings clearly.

• Framework knowledge: MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, CIS.
• Public cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure.
• Scripting / programming for query writing.
• AI tools: Claude, Gemini, MCP.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
