Hotel Industry Accountant – Financial Reporting & Reconciliations

About the role

Howard Financial is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to support financial reporting, account reconciliations, and month‑end close activities for its portfolio of hospitality clients. You will work in a fast‑paced, multi‑client environment, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial information that meets the company’s high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily accounting tasks, prepare journal entries, and support month‑end close to meet strict client deadlines.
• Maintain balance‑sheet integrity by cleaning up, reconciling, and resolving items across a high volume of accounts.
• Master specialized hospitality platforms, ERP tools, and reporting structures to execute work independently.
• Follow standardized processes to deliver consistent, accurate, and responsive client service.

Required profile

• 1–3+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, property management, or outsourced accounting services.
• Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end close cycles.
• Familiarity with hotel operations, revenue cycles, and hospitality systems is a distinct advantage.
• Highly organized, detail‑focused, and able to work independently while communicating clearly with internal teams and clients.
