Hotel Director – Luxury Cruise Operations

About the role

The Hotel Director leads all hotel operations aboard a luxury cruise vessel, ensuring an exceptional guest experience and high crew morale. This senior position combines strategic leadership with day‑to‑day operational oversight in a multi‑outlet hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for all hotel departments.
• Ensure optimum guest satisfaction through welcoming, efficient service and crew friendliness.
• Maintain Forbes 5‑star standards and prepare the ship for possible inspections.
• Resolve onboard challenges promptly (ATRI methodology).
• Conduct daily inspiring morning meetings.
• Mentor department heads, identify training needs and support talent development.
• Participate in weekly public health inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Distribute NPS, financial data, Voyage Report and Deep Dive Analysis to stakeholders after each voyage.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of professional experience in luxury hotel operations, with at least 5 years at a management level.
• Previous cruise line experience is an advantage, though experience in luxury hospitality or other service‑driven industries is acceptable.
• Excellent fluent English (verbal and written); conversational skills in additional languages are a plus.
