Global Study Associate Director – Clinical Operations

About the role

The Global Study Associate Director (GSAD) is a senior position within Study Management, responsible for delivering clinical studies on time, within budget, and to quality standards. The GSAD leads cross‑functional teams, acts as the main liaison with the Clinical Program Team, and ensures compliance with ICH‑GCP and internal SOPs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and guide cross‑functional study teams or outsourced partners to achieve study milestones.
• Oversee study documentation from protocol to final report, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Manage study budgets, re‑forecasting, and provide financial risk reports.
• Monitor performance against KPIs, communicate risks, and implement mitigation plans.
• Ensure trial master file completeness and readiness for audits or inspections.

Required profile

• University degree in medical, biological sciences or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in pharma, including at least 2 years of project management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and conflict‑management abilities.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and drive strategic thinking.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of ICH‑GCP and clinical research regulations.
• Project management expertise with relevant tools and methodologies.
