Full-Time Float Medical Assistant

About the role

The Medical Assistant (MA) works in a patient‑focused clinic, supporting physicians and care teams to ensure smooth, professional visits for all scheduled patients. This float position requires flexibility to travel between multiple clinic locations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective patient care and perform vital signs accurately.
• Maintain up‑to‑date electronic medical records (EMR) with patient health information.
• Draw up medications for providers as needed and assist with in‑office procedures.
• Facilitate efficient patient flow, supporting other MAs and the broader clinic team.
• Manage difficult or emotional patient situations with professionalism.
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, and infection‑control standards at all times.
• Perform end‑of‑shift room turnover and other assigned duties.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; Certified Medical Assistant accreditation preferred.
• At least 1 year of medical assistant experience.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lb, stand, walk, bend, and perform other physical tasks.
• Willingness to travel between clinic locations.
• Strong English communication skills.

Required skills

• Electronic medical records (EMR) proficiency.
