Freelance Graphic Designer – Print Mechanical Production

About the role

WPP Production is seeking a freelance Graphic Designer to create print‑ready mechanicals for global brands. You will work closely with a team of Mechanical Artists, Designers, and Project Managers in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate print‑ready mechanicals following client specifications.
• Collaborate with Studio Project Managers and Senior Mechanical Artists to implement content across various layouts.
• Provide multiple layout solutions and manage a high‑volume workload.
• Maintain and update mechanical templates with new specifications.
• Handle file naming, archiving, and documentation to ensure consistency.
• Perform quality‑control checks on own and peer work.
• Adhere to strict confidentiality policies.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical production, printing, or related technology.
• BA in Graphic Design, Print Media, or equivalent; pre‑press background a plus.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to meet demanding deadlines.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
• Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop (plus).
