Freelance Graphic Designer – Mechanical Production

About the role

WPP Production is seeking a Freelance Graphic Designer to create print‑ready mechanicals for global clients. You will work within a fast‑paced, collaborative studio environment, delivering high‑quality layouts that meet strict brand and production standards.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate print‑ready mechanicals in partnership with Project Managers and Senior Mechanical Artists.
• Develop multiple layout solutions and adapt designs to varying specifications.
• Maintain and update mechanical templates, ensuring correct file naming and archiving.
• Manage a high‑volume workload while completing quality‑control checklists for each task.
• Enforce client confidentiality and document any issues to ensure consistency.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in mechanical production, printing, or related technology.
• BA in Graphic Design, Print Media, or equivalent; pre‑press background is a plus.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to meet demanding deadlines.
• Proactive learner who keeps skills up to date.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Illustrator.
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Acrobat.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
