Finance Solutions Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Solutions Engineer to partner with our Sales team and build high‑impact proofs of concept for prospective customers. The role sits at the intersection of finance, go‑to‑market and product, translating real‑world business problems into financial models and compelling narratives that help close deals.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales to design and build proofs of concept that demonstrate Abacum’s value.
• Translate customer requirements into Abacum models and visual dashboards.
• Rapidly understand new industry business models, metrics and SaaS KPIs.
• Own and maintain demo environments, keeping them up‑to‑date and aligned with GTM needs.
• Create demo assets, use cases and playbooks for different segments and sales motions.
• Integrate new product features into demos, turning them into realistic scenarios.
• Help define repeatable POC frameworks and demo templates.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in FP&A, finance, investment banking, consulting or a similar field.
• Strong financial modeling ability with a commercial mindset.
• Solid understanding of SaaS metrics such as ARR, churn, LTV/CAC and cohort analysis.
• Ability to structure ambiguous problems quickly and learn new tools fast.
• Experience in pre‑sales, solutions engineering or customer‑facing analytics is a plus.
