Finance Operations Workflow Architect

About the role

Blend is building a next‑generation, agent‑first Operations function. As a Finance Operations Workflow Architect you will own the operational logic behind finance workflows, systems and automation, ensuring accuracy, auditability and business relevance.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain low‑code/no‑code agents and workflows that automate recurring finance tasks such as billing, collections, payables, reconciliations and close support.
• Validate and continuously improve agent outputs for accuracy, completeness, explainability and auditability.
• Translate ambiguous finance needs into structured logic, rules and automated processes.
• Define exception handling, approval and escalation pathways within workflows.
• Ensure consistency across ERP, CRM, billing systems, data warehouses, dashboards and executive reporting.
• Identify and resolve data‑quality gaps, handoff issues and ownership ambiguities.
• Map current‑state finance processes and design scalable future‑state models.
• Support finance transformation initiatives and build scenario models for planning and risk analysis.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and automating finance operations workflows.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to turn complex finance problems into repeatable logic.
• Collaborative approach to work with Finance leadership, Accounting, FP&A, RevOps, IT and other stakeholders.
