Finance Manager

About the role

You will own the end‑to‑end finance function for a technology‑driven logistics company. The role blends strategic oversight with hands‑on execution, allowing you to shape processes, improve systems, and provide the numbers leadership needs to make informed decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Produce financial reporting, management reports, and the core metrics used by leadership.
• Lead accounts receivable, including customer setup and invoice adjustments.
• Lead accounts payable, managing carrier accounts, freight‑bill auditing, and corrections.
• Maintain the books, oversee bookkeeping, and manage month‑end close.
• Oversee cargo and insurance claims on behalf of customers.
• Identify and implement improvements to finance systems and processes, collaborating with engineering as needed.

Required profile

• Accounting qualification (CPA or equivalent) or strong equivalent experience.
• Proven experience owning or managing a finance/accounting function.
• Experience with Xero and financial reporting.
• Preferably familiar with the freight or logistics industry.
• Excellent written and verbal English.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and confidence in challenging situations.
• High emotional intelligence, curiosity about people, and a desire to help.
• Sharp time‑management skills and comfort with modern software.
