Finance Data Analyst

About the role

Sauce is a restaurant‑technology platform that helps local eateries manage online ordering and delivery. The Finance Data Analyst will act as the bridge between Finance and Data, ensuring the financial data stack is accurate, consistent, and easily accessible for rapid decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and quality‑assure financial data outputs from Preset and Databricks, flagging discrepancies before reporting.
• Own the G Suite financial infrastructure, including Sheets, Drive, model structure, and version control.
• Build and maintain recurring reports on revenue, delivery margin, order‑level economics, and fully loaded COGS tracking.
• Ensure consistency of financial and operational KPI calculations across reporting systems.
• Track budget vs. actual performance, support monthly forecasting, scenario analysis, and business performance reviews.
• Prepare reconciled data and variance analysis for management reporting and rolling forecasts.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, business analytics, or finance analysis within a technology company.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, capable of investigating data discrepancies across multiple systems.
• Expertise in Google Sheets and/or Excel for financial modeling and dynamic formulas.
• Proficiency in SQL; experience with Databricks or a comparable data warehouse.
