Family Practitioner / General Practitioner – Pain Management

About the role

We are seeking a Family or General Practitioner interested in pain management to join our progressive, innovative clinic in Nelson. The practice offers a flexible environment, full EMR support, on‑site billing, and virtual health options for patients who cannot travel.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to a diverse patient base.
• Develop and deliver pain‑management services, with training available for those new to the specialty.
• Utilise the clinic’s EMR system for documentation, ordering, and follow‑up.
• Participate in virtual consultations to extend care to remote patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient patient flow and high‑quality care.

Required profile

• Medical degree and valid licence to practice in British Columbia.
• Interest in pain management; willingness to undergo training if needed.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Commitment to delivering patient‑centred care in both onsite and virtual settings.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Familiarity with virtual health platforms.
