Family Physician – Shared Practice Opportunity

About the role

We are looking for a Family Physician to join a collaborative, shared‑practice model in Nelson, British Columbia. The position blends rural family medicine with longitudinal primary care, shared inpatient duties, and a rotating Doctor‑of‑the‑Day hospital schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care to a shared patient panel.
• Participate in shared inpatient coverage at Kootenay Lake Hospital (1–5 days per 12‑week rotation).
• Take part in the Doctor‑of‑the‑Day rotating hospital schedule.
• Maintain a flexible clinic schedule (approximately 2–3 clinic days per week) with optional virtual‑care day.
• Optionally contribute to a functional‑medicine clinic up to twice weekly.
