Executive Director, Applied AI/ML – Image as a Service

About the role

We are looking for an Executive Director to define and operationalize the AI/ML strategy for our Image as a Service platform in Buenos Aires. Reporting to the Head of Image as a Service, you will lead the adoption of AI across engineering and SRE teams, build a greenfield digital twin of our infrastructure, and embed responsible AI practices throughout the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive AI/ML roadmap aligned with business objectives and the Image as a Service roadmap.
• Drive AI adoption to reduce operational toil, optimize workflows, and improve reliability.
• Lead the design and implementation of a greenfield infrastructure digital twin for simulation, validation, and impact analysis.
• Establish and manage a use‑case governance framework covering intake, approval, risk controls, and lifecycle oversight.
• Standardize AI tooling across the global engineering function, selecting and scaling a unified solution while deprecating redundant approaches.
• Champion skills uplift programs, including hands‑on enablement with tools such as GitHub Copilot.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading applied AI/ML initiatives in large, complex engineering environments.
• Strong track record of influencing cross‑functional teams and driving change at an executive level.
• Deep understanding of governance, responsible AI, and risk management practices.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
