Director, Clinical Operations Latin America

About the role

The Director, Clinical Operations Latin America provides strategic leadership, operational expertise, and regional influence to enable the successful execution of Summit Phase I–III oncology clinical trials across Latin America. This senior position reports to the Senior Director, Clinical Operations Europe and is part of the Global Clinical Operations organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and drive country‑startup strategies and site‑activation excellence across all Latin American markets.
• Engage and build relationships with oncology investigators, sites, regulatory authorities, ethics committees, and other healthcare stakeholders.
• Accelerate trial approvals and ensure timely study execution from initiation through close‑out.
• Oversee compliance with GCP, local regulations, and internal quality standards.
• Manage cross‑functional teams, external vendors, budgets, timelines, and performance metrics.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in clinical operations, preferably within oncology.
• Extensive background managing multi‑country Phase I‑III trials in Latin America.
• Established network with investigators, sites, and health authorities in the region.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; fluency in English, Spanish preferred.
