Design for Manufacturing Engineer – 3D Printing (LATAM)

About the role

Xometry is seeking a Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Engineer to support its LATAM market. You will work with customers from diverse industries—machine building, automotive, industrial, medical devices—and help them translate designs into manufacturable 3D‑printed parts using Xometry’s extensive technology portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for 3D‑printing projects.
• Assist production teams in troubleshooting order execution to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Interface directly with 3D‑printing shops, internal staff, management, and customers.
• Lead special projects to expand the partner network, collaborate with OEM equipment makers, and improve core competencies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field (preferred).
• 5+ years of engineering experience in a multi‑technology 3D‑printing environment.
• Proven ability to evaluate manufacturability and recommend optimal technology, material, and geometry solutions.
• Strong communication skills in English and ability to work in a fast‑paced start‑up setting.
