Data Engineer

About the role

123Seguro, a technology company focused on insurance experiences and solutions in Latin America, is looking for a Data Engineer. The engineer programs data extractions, transformations and processing, ensures data quality and provides metrics, dashboards and integrations for operational areas, using best practices in cloud environments. Only advanced students or graduates in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science or related fields are eligible.

Key responsibilities

• Create, operate and maintain data extraction and analysis services for the application ecosystem
• Operate data warehousing tools to deliver statistical reports
• Define metrics and visualization dashboards for business areas
• Help build predictive and classification models for new digital product features and business automation
• Develop ingestion and preparation processes for heterogeneous data from operations in several countries
• Build processes to enrich databases with marketing and log analytics data
• Take part in solving technical problems with a focus on development, best practices and high-quality software

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, Data Architect, BI specialist or Data Analyst
• University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems or equivalent
• Experience in Agile environments
• Fluent English (desirable)

Required skills

• Algorithms, data structures and databases
• Programming in Python, Java, C++ or Node.js or equivalents
• Data pipelines with Spark, Flume, Beam, MapReduce or equivalents
• Data mining and data warehouse concepts
• Cloud SQL tools such as Oracle, SQL Server, Google BigQuery, Azure SQL or AWS Redshift
