Data Engineer

About the role

As a Data Engineer at Sophilabs you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the company’s data architecture. You will work with relational databases and Amazon Redshift to ensure data models meet business needs and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, construct, install, and maintain large‑scale processing systems and related infrastructure.
• Set up and manage Amazon Redshift and other relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Collaborate with data scientists on big‑data initiatives and participate in data‑modeling sessions.
• Integrate new data‑management technologies and software‑engineering tools.
• Develop processes for data mining, modeling, and production.
• Identify, document, and track data‑infrastructure issues.
• Monitor debugging results and resolve data discrepancies.
• Work with developers, analysts, and project managers to ensure reliable data flow.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in data engineering.
• Proficiency with Amazon Redshift.
• Experience with at least one relational database: SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Positive attitude, continuous‑learning mindset, and strong analytical/problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent English (minimum B2 level).
