Data Engineer (AWS, SQL, Python)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain data pipelines on AWS. The role is fully remote within Argentina and requires strong expertise in Python, SQL, and modern data‑engineering tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop reusable Python packages, scripts and automation for ETL processes.
• Design and optimise SQL queries and Snowflake data models, including performance tuning.
• Orchestrate workflows with Apache Airflow and implement modular transformations using dbt.
• Integrate and process data from REST APIs and AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Athena, and CloudWatch.
• Ensure data quality, governance and cloud‑native troubleshooting.
• Maintain version‑controlled code in GitHub and set up CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• Excellent communicator comfortable with client‑facing interactions.
• Individual contributor who can also collaborate effectively within a team.
• 100% hands‑on with the listed technologies and a passion for data engineering.

• Python (advanced, including OOP, multithreading, Pandas, NumPy)
• SQL (complex joins, window functions, CTEs, optimisation)
