Cybersecurity Senior Associate – SIEM & SOAR - SecOps

About the role

PwC is looking for a Senior Associate to join its SIEM & SOAR SecOps team supporting a US client. The role focuses on designing, implementing and maintaining security operations solutions that detect and respond to threats across the organization’s digital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom parsers to ingest log data into Google’s Unified Data Model.
• Troubleshoot and integrate diverse log sources, ensuring reliable data collection.
• Design, write, and tune custom detection rules and automated playbooks for rapid incident response.
• Conduct security audits, assess vulnerabilities, and provide recommendations to improve the security posture.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align SecOps initiatives with business objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in security operations, preferably in a consulting or large‑enterprise environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills to build client relationships and convey technical concepts.
• Self‑motivated, comfortable working in ambiguous situations and able to drive solutions forward.

Required skills

• SIEM and SOAR technologies.
• Google Cloud Platform, especially Unified Data Model concepts.
• Log parsing and custom detection rule development.
• Playbook creation for automated incident response.
