Creative Project Manager & Design Operations Specialist

About the role

You will be the operational backbone of a small creative studio, ensuring every client deliverable meets the founder’s standards. The role blends client communication, project coordination, design quality assurance, and hands‑on design execution when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to client requests, set realistic timelines, and provide status updates at least three times a week.
• Notify the founder of incoming assets on the same day, summarising content and deadlines.
• Translate client briefs into fully scoped ClickUp tasks with complete instructions, files, and due dates.
• Route work to the primary designer first; take over execution when they are at capacity.
• Maintain a clean Google Drive structure and naming conventions.
• Perform design quality checks on every deliverable (kerning, spacing, resolution, copy accuracy).
• Execute time‑sensitive design tasks (logo lockups, typography tweaks, layout corrections) to professional standards.
• Draft scopes of work, track approvals, and handle administrative documents such as W‑9s.

Required profile

• Proven production design ability with a portfolio showcasing typography and logo lockup work.
• Trained design eye that spots kerning and weight issues without prompting.
• Track record managing clients and projects for a small team or agency.
• Demonstrated habit of proactive reporting and status communication.
• Honest self‑assessment of skill limits and willingness to flag tasks beyond expertise.
