Cost Engineer – Estimating & Control

About the role

Bechtel is seeking a Cost Engineer to support the planning and execution of critical mineral production projects. In this role you will perform routine cost estimating, analysis, and control activities while ensuring alignment with project schedules and stakeholder expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and cost control systems.
• Coordinate with all departments to integrate schedule needs and verify quantities received from subcontractors.
• Identify schedule constraints, quantify risks, and monitor critical‑path performance.
• Record, monitor, and report cost data in compliance with applicable standards.
• Prepare specific budgets, weekly labor‑hour reports, and cost variance analyses.

Required profile

• Experience in routine cost estimating, budgeting, and cost control for large‑scale projects.
• Ability to establish stakeholder relationships and conduct schedule analysis.
• Strong analytical skills to identify restraints, quantify risks, and recommend alternatives.
