Controller – Finance Leadership Role

About the role

PLS Logistics Services is expanding its finance team following the acquisition of The AGL Group. We are seeking an experienced Controller to partner with the VP of Finance and lead key financial functions across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Field Billing, Carrier Accounting, Treasury, Collections, and Payroll operations.
• Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain budgeting processes for all business units, monitoring performance against plans.
• Provide financial analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities, improve cash flow, and enhance revenue.
• Implement internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets.
• Coordinate annual audit and tax return preparation with external accounting firms.
• Lead, train, and evaluate the finance and accounting staff.
• Maintain professional relationships with banks, CPA firms, suppliers, and customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience.
• Strong leadership, business acumen, and presentation abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in English; bilingual capability is a plus.
