Commercial Landscape Estimator (Bidding & Estimating Specialist)

About the role

The client, a leading commercial landscape contractor in Jacksonville, Florida, is expanding its pre‑construction team. They are seeking a Commercial Landscape Estimator to own the full estimating and bidding cycle for landscape and irrigation projects, working remotely with occasional coordination with the Jacksonville office.

Key responsibilities

• Review construction drawings, specifications and bid documents to determine scope.
• Perform accurate digital quantity takeoffs for landscaping, irrigation, grading, planting and site work.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, professional proposals and maintain pricing databases.
• Manage bid schedules, submit proposals on time and track status through award.
• Monitor bid opportunities via BuildingConnected and other portals, coordinate RFIs and follow up with general contractors.
• Maintain organized project files, update supplier pricing and support reporting metrics.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial landscape, irrigation or construction estimating.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple bids simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Comfortable working remotely with EST time‑zone overlap.
