Clinical Lead - Global Study Leadership

About the role

IQVIA's Clinical Leads provide clinical leadership across regional and global clinical trials, working with Project Leaders, sponsors and cross-functional teams to deliver studies with a focus on quality, patient recruitment, site performance and operational excellence. Global Study Leadership is a global, full-service team covering a portfolio including Oncology, Rare Disease, CNS, Cardiovascular, Immunology, Respiratory, Cell & Gene Therapy, Infectious Disease, Ophthalmology and Women's Health.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the clinical delivery of regional and global studies, meeting quality, timeline, recruitment and operational objectives
• Drive patient recruitment and site engagement strategies to achieve enrolment targets
• Partner with Project Leaders and cross-functional teams to drive milestones, resolve issues and maintain operational excellence
• Guide clinical teams on resource planning, training and project delivery
• Manage clinical risks, oversee quality standards and drive proactive mitigation strategies
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and support financial oversight, including forecasting, budget management and scope change identification
• Support proposal development, bid defence and clinical delivery planning for new opportunities

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare or a related scientific discipline
• 5+ years of clinical research, monitoring or clinical operations experience in a CRO, pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment
• Experience leading clinical study delivery, including recruitment, site management and clinical quality oversight
• Ability to collaborate across teams and manage stakeholders in a global environment
• Desirable: experience supporting project financial management and operational planning

Required skills

• Strong understanding of clinical trial conduct, ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements
• Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational and decision-making skills
