Chief Data Scientist

About the role

We are looking for a Chief Data Scientist to lead the design and delivery of AI‑powered chatbot solutions for specialized use cases. The role combines deep expertise in large language models with hands‑on Python development to create reliable, responsible conversational agents.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering teams to build and improve a shopping‑assistant chatbot.
• Design and iterate prompt‑engineering techniques to enhance dialogue quality.
• Develop LLM‑based agents that call APIs, databases, and third‑party services.
• Ensure chatbot stability and reduce hallucinations through rigorous model evaluation.
• Apply A/B testing frameworks to continuously improve chatbot performance.
• Integrate Responsible AI and compliance practices to meet ethical and regulatory standards.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to generate insights and define data requirements for engineering.
• Guide cloud engineering teams on infrastructure needs for AI chatbot rollouts.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of professional experience in data science or AI.
• At least 2 years of leadership or team‑management experience.
• Strong mastery of large language models, including hands‑on work with OpenAI APIs on Azure.
• Advanced Python development skills for building and orchestrating AI workflows.
• Proven experience creating AI agents that use function calling to interact with external systems.
• Deep understanding of hallucination mitigation, Responsible AI, and compliance principles.
• Solid background in NLP and Conversational AI development.
• Fluent English communication (B2 level or higher).
