CGI Designer & Video Editor – Social Media (Beauty)

About the role

Ghost Sherpa is seeking a CGI Designer and Video Editor with a strong background in the beauty industry to create scroll‑stopping, motion‑first content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and paid social ads. The role blends 3D CGI, motion design, and short‑form video editing to produce culturally relevant, native‑feeling social media assets.

Key responsibilities

• Design high‑impact CGI visuals and motion‑driven scenes for social‑first campaigns.
• Create surreal, oversized, hyper‑real product moments that capture attention.
• Edit short‑form video (TikTok, Reels, paid ads) using a mix of CGI, lo‑fi creator footage, and premium assets.
• Transform lo‑fi creator content and premium video into social‑native cuts with strong hooks, pacing, and captions.
• Add text overlays, pop‑ups, motion graphics, sound effects, and visual hooks to boost engagement.
• Build motion‑first assets optimized for scroll behavior, loops, and platform performance.
• Translate brand briefs into high‑performing, social‑native video concepts.
• Collaborate with creative strategists, editors, and paid‑media teams.
• Rapidly prototype concepts for pitches and campaign development.
• Optimize content for platform metrics (hook, pacing, CTA, retention curves) while maintaining brand polish.

Required profile

• 4–8+ years of experience in CGI, motion design, or social‑first video editing.
• Strong portfolio showcasing both CGI work and short‑form social video editing.
• Proven ability to edit lo‑fi creator content and premium footage into high‑performing social cuts.
• Deep understanding of TikTok/Reels editing language, trends, and sound design.
• Experience integrating AI workflows into the creative process.
• Experience in fashion, beauty, lifestyle, or CPG is a plus.
• Comfortable working independently and within fast‑moving teams.
