Business Manager - Public Relations

About the role

Syneos Health Public Relations is looking for a Business Manager to support the operational needs of its Public Relations practice by managing projects. The role covers project setup, financial reporting, scope and estimates, change orders, and coordination between account teams, procurement and finance.

Key responsibilities

• Own the project setup process, including rates, roles and approval documentation
• Provide real-time reporting of project financial performance and maintain key metrics such as burn rate and profitability
• Create scopes and estimates, and own change orders
• Take part in internal and client account meetings
• Communicate project status and changes between account teams, PFAs and finance
• Maintain project trackers, validate data and reconcile projects with the account lead, including securing additional budget or moving budgets between projects
• Support new customer onboarding and partner with Sourcing, Procurement, Legal and Account teams on vendor onboarding and contracting
• Use AI tools to improve processes, automate routine tasks and strengthen reporting

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree
• 2-4 years of project management experience; 1-2 years in an agency setting or other applicable experience preferred
• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills
• Keen eye for process improvements and reporting efficiencies
• Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to improve business processes and support data-driven decisions

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Oracle preferred
