AWS Data Engineer

About the role

We are looking for an AWS Data Engineer to design, develop and maintain data pipelines on the Amazon Web Services platform. The role focuses on transforming raw data into reliable, query‑ready datasets that support analytics and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and deploy ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS services such as S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR and Redshift.
• Write efficient Python code for data extraction, transformation and loading.
• Design and optimise SQL queries for data transformation and performance.
• Implement data‑warehousing solutions and ensure data quality and consistency.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate data sources and support business intelligence needs.
• Apply performance‑tuning techniques and monitor pipeline health.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Python programming.
• Proven experience building and maintaining data pipelines on AWS.
• Solid SQL skills for data manipulation and optimisation.
• Familiarity with data‑warehousing concepts and cloud‑based data solutions.
• Understanding of version control (Git) and Agile development practices is a plus.
