AWS Data Engineer

About the role

Netrix Global is looking for an AWS Data Engineer to join its Professional Services – Data Intelligence team. The position is fully remote and based in Argentina, working closely with data scientists to design, build, and maintain AI/ML data pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, create, and prepare data required for modern data solutions and AI workloads.
• Design and implement ETL/ELT processes for data transformation.
• Build and manage data lake architectures.
• Work with Apache Hadoop ecosystem tools such as Spark, Hive, Pig, Oozie, and Airflow.
• Integrate, test, and document data solutions to meet requirements.
• Operate in big‑data environments and ensure data governance, security, and access controls.
• Prepare data for machine‑learning workloads and monitor related applications and services.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Architect, preferably in cloud environments.
• Proficient English (intermediate to upper level).
• Hands‑on experience with Apache Spark and AWS data services (S3, Glue, Athena, SageMaker).
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (Git, CI/CD pipelines) and Agile Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of Python, R, or similar data‑processing languages.
