Attorney Specialist – Procurement Contracts

About the role

The Attorney Specialist will provide practical, business‑oriented legal support for procurement‑related contracts within Ecolab’s Global High Tech business. Acting as a trusted partner to North American procurement teams, the role focuses on reviewing, drafting, negotiating and managing a wide range of supplier‑facing agreements while mitigating legal and commercial risk.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft, negotiate and manage diverse procurement agreements, including supply, services, equipment purchase, logistics, technology and SaaS contracts.
• Identify legal and commercial risks in supplier‑drafted agreements and propose risk‑adjusted alternatives consistent with Ecolab policies.
• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice to Procurement, Supply Chain and other business stakeholders, primarily supporting North American operations.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs, Trade Compliance, Quality, Finance and other functions to ensure consistent risk management and contracting practices.
• Utilize contract templates, clause libraries, playbooks and contract lifecycle management tools to drive efficiency and consistency.

Required profile

• Law degree with authorization to practice law.
• 5+ years of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department, focusing on commercial contracting and procurement matters.
• Proven ability to draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements across multiple categories.
• Experience supporting procurement, supply chain, manufacturing, logistics or technology functions.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
