Associate Manager – Regional Accounting & Controllership

About the role

The Associate Manager, Regional Accounting & Controllership will support Disney's LATAM organization by overseeing controllership, performing P&L and balance‑sheet analysis, and ensuring accurate financial reporting in a multicurrency environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead controllership processes and supervise vendor services to meet organizational goals.
• Coordinate and execute month‑end close, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, IFRS and local GAAP.
• Perform accounting treatment analysis for new business, non‑recurring activities, and new processes.
• Lead complex projects requiring independent decision‑making.
• Conduct balance‑sheet and P&L variance analysis by business unit and legal entity, and propose intercompany adjustments (Transfer Pricing).
• Ensure timely fulfillment of statutory controllership requirements and support statutory audits across LATAM.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Tax and other business teams to address operational needs.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or accounting audit, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Experience in entertainment, technology or consumer‑products industries is a plus.
• Strong communication, collaboration and negotiation abilities.
• Organized, versatile, self‑motivated and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, multi‑stakeholder environment.
