Assistant Store Manager

About the role

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in driving sales, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and ensuring operational excellence in a PUMA retail location. You will spend the majority of your time on the sales floor, engaging with shoppers, coaching staff, and stepping in as acting manager when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed sales, KPI, and profitability targets through effective planning and expense control.
• Maintain high standards of customer service aligned with PUMA’s brand values.
• Assist in recruiting, training, developing, and evaluating store associates and supervisors.
• Manage payroll, scheduling, and loss‑prevention programs to sustain profitability and compliance.
• Oversee inventory accuracy, shrink reduction, and physical stock counts.
• Execute visual merchandising guidelines and ensure the store’s appearance meets brand standards.
• Support marketing initiatives, events, and local PR collaborations.
• Process sales, exchanges, refunds, and employee transactions accurately at the POS.
