Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the Housekeeping Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences on board. This role ensures that staterooms, public areas, and crew spaces are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping operations for assigned staterooms, top suites/lofts, and public/crew areas, including the pool deck.
• Maintain the look, feel, and safety of all guest and crew spaces, ensuring compliance with Royal Caribbean brand and SQM standards.
• Provide direct support to the Housekeeping Manager, monitoring performance, training staff, and recognizing achievements.
• Lead a team of at least 10 employees, fostering a strong floor presence and consistent service delivery.
• Ensure proper handling of chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures in accordance with company and USPH guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of managerial experience in housekeeping within a large 4‑ or 5‑star hotel, cruise line, or comparable hospitality environment.
• Experience supervising a team of at least 10 staff members.
• High school diploma or equivalent education/training that provides the necessary knowledge and abilities.
